Spots
In this article, I’d like to share some tips on interesting places I’ve visited in Yerevan.
Hamov Bakery
It’s a cozy bakery where you can enjoy coffee and dessert at a counter seat or take everything to go. I had a cappuccino and a honey cake there.
The bakery’s location also makes it a great starting point for a walk to the city center. First, head down to the Mother Armenia statue and then continue on to the famous Cascade attraction. The entire walk, full of beautiful views, takes about an hour from the café. This spot is located directly across from the David Anhaght / Karpet Ulnetsi bus stop.
Face Pub
You'll find this cozy bar with its interesting decor in the historic center of Yerevan. It offers a wide selection of cocktails and other drinks. The staff were very friendly.
The following video from Yerevan offers a brief glimpse of the atmosphere at both of the places described above:
LS Shaurma
This fast-food restaurant, listed on Google Maps as LS Shaurma, serves excellent shawarma, a dish similar to gyros. Be sure to try the version wrapped in lavash, which is Armenian bread. I’ve been here several times; the staff has always been friendly, and we had no trouble communicating in English. The shawarma in lavash cost me 1,200 AMD, which is a really good price for a meal that can easily serve as lunch. The restaurant is located near the Barekamutyun metro station.
